Cuba Night in Eleja

In the evening of 11 April, in Jelgava’s Initiative Centre for Children and Youths, the Cuba Night took place, in which volunteers from Cuba told about their homeland, its traditions and culture. This was an opportunity for the participants to take part in crafting tropical cocktails and fruit bowls, while being inspired by Cuban musical rhythms. These activities were followed by the opportunity to learn interesting facts about Cuba and see various dances, from traditional folk dances to contemporary popular party dances favoured by the youth.
