Information for immigrants

An Information resource for immigrants has been developed in the framework of European Third-country Nationals Integration fund project „Meeting point” with an aim to ensure availability of regular information and support structure for immigrants who come from so called third countries, that is, countries which are not part of the European Union and European Economic Area. The resource summarizes information on important facets of social live in Latvia for immigrants – admission, employment, housing, health care, education, social security, entrepreneurship and availability of general information about Latvia.

Information resource is build upon current juridical regulation ofLatvia which defines immigrants’ life inLatvia and informs immigrants on their situation and rights in the aforementioned areas of social life. This information is intended for both immigrants who already reside inLatvia and those who are just planning their arrival.

Being aware that particulars and experiences of immigrants related to arrival and everyday life in Latvia vary, the society „Shelter „Safe House”” invites you to write your suggestions and questions at drosa.maja@apollo.lv
